A Sky Data Snap poll has revealed that Life On Mars is the UK’s favourite David Bowie song.

The 1973 hit took 23% of the votes – pipping Let’s Dance by just 1%.

In the wake of the singer’s death, participants were asked to choose from his five most popular songs on streaming services – and it was a close-run contest.

In third place was Starman with 21%, followed by Heroes on 19% and Space Oddity on 15%.

Interestingly, women chose Let’s Dance as their favourite Bowie song (27%), but it was men’s least favourite among the five listed (16%).
